‘The aesthetic is the outcome of the development process of a brief comes naturally while the project is being refined, but it is not the purpose in itself. Art triggers questions and design searches for solutions. So the synthesis of function and aesthetics or art and design is what allows me to develop concepts, to take ideas to extremes and transcend the ordinary. I never design for beauty or function alone.’
